Develop skills in multiple areas with Moxa
Have you ever wondered how the electricity, water and gas are delivered to your house?
How the transport you take is managed? How the buildings you visit are maintained? How
your favorite goods are manufactured?
Almost a decade with Moxa gave me plenty of opportunities to explore all these questions
and many more fascinating things about industrial automation. This is a rewarding
industry where you are certain that your work is helping to make the world better.
Specifically with Moxa I have the opportunity to develop skills in both of my favorite
areas: engineering and IT.
My career has been always about helping customers. First assisting with their existing
automation systems, then once I gained field experience with designing those systems.
What I like the most about my particular role is that I have a very healthy mix of
individual contribution and teamwork. I can handle projects on my own and if I need
help, guidance or more resources there is a great team that is ready to help. Also, as a
member of a team I'm always invited to join or even lead collaborative tasks, for
example research or training projects. The company culture endorses teamwork and
entrepreneurship at the same time, so there is a great flexibility to suit every
employee.
As I became a senior engineer, a was provided with plenty of career paths. I could
become a business oriented person, develop management skills, transfer to other
departments and even countries. My personal choice was to keep developing my engineering
skills and influence the business from technical perspective. With accumulated
experience now I work closely with both key customers and product developers to design
and deliver cutting edge technology to critical infrastructure.
As a side benefit I have visited more than 20 countries to support customers and
industry events so I developed a truly international expertise.
I have even more career opportunities now thanks to the management team that puts
employee development as their top priority, so I look forward to every working day and
hope to see new passionate team members growing together in the future.
