QUESTION

Can the UPort 1100 Series be used with an Arm board that runs Linux?

SOLUTION

Our driver for the x86 computing platforms, which is available for download on Moxa’s website, can also support Arm-based platforms. Compile the driver using the following Linux commands to enable the use of UPort 1100 Series USB-to-serial converters with an Arm-based platform.

# cd /mxu11x0/driver/
# make KDIR=/lib/root/backup/mv4_IXP4X5/Source_code/kernel

Note that the KDIR path should point to the Arm kernel source tree location.
